Enjoying modern, up-to-date facilities, the ICT department at St. Martin’s plays an important role in all areas of the curriculum. Discrete ICT lessons are taught weekly to each teaching group. Students use their ICT skills in other areas of the curriculum, and have access not only to the ICT suite, but to the many sets of laptops, situated around the school.

During their time at St. Martin’s, students will use a wide range of applications: mainly the Microsoft Office suite, plus many subject-specific packages. They are encouraged to apply their ICT skills in all curriculum areas, thus developing their ICT capability.

Internet safety features either as a complete study unit in year 7, or as revision lessons in years
8 & 9.
