LEARNING RESOURCE CENTER

St. Martin’s library provides resources that help and encourage learning. There is an extensive range of books covering fiction and non-fiction which are suitable for all abilities. The extensive book collection offers a variety of information from many different authors and genres.

There is a designated reading area for students to read magazines, popular non-fiction stories, fiction books, information booklets and careers advice for Year 9.

Students are able to play board games, read books and complete homework. There are nine computers available to be used; they have all been upgraded during the spring and summer term. The facilities are available daily including break and lunch times. There is also a continual chess ladder which many enjoy.

The Student Council, Sports Council and M20 team meet in the Library on a regular basis. Also, both shared and group reading takes place. Students are able to orders books from the Book Club leaflet and also book sales take place
