Youth Finds A Voice (YFaV)

On 28th February 2009, our School Choir took part in the Leicesterhier Chorale "Youth Finds A Voice" concert at De Montfort Hall. It was truly a wonderful evening. To see our students on stage with a full orchestra performing such a demanding work, and in Latin, was very impressive and provided our young musicians with an experience they will never forget.

Music is a strong feature in the school with all years following a curriculum that provides at least one weekly lesson, increasing to 3 lessons a fortnight in years 7& 9. There is a thriving Orchestra, Wind and Brass ensemble; also Recorder Group with a range of instruments from sopranino to bass. A popular “Battle of The Bands” competition also takes place each year – showcasing musical talent of different genres.
