The SEN (Special Educational Needs) Department aims to meet the many and varied needs of the students in our school. The SENCO ( Special Educational Needs Coordinator ) leads a team of 5 LSAs ( Learning Support Assistants )

We support students with statements of SEN as well as those at School Action SA and School Action Plus SA+. The LSA’s work with individuals , small groups and in whole class settings. Support is, as far as possible , tailored to meet individual needs. Progress is monitored and reviewed on a termly basis.

We value the input of parents and aim to achieve with them the best for their sons/daughters . Communications with the department are welcomed and encouraged.

The SEN Department has access to the advice and support of Leicestershire LA and has links with the appropriate outside agencies.
